About Michelle Lowther

A hotel veteran, Ms. Lowther began her career in hotel operations in 1990. She moved into sales and in 2005 handled a client who’d moved employees to Houston after Hurricane Katrina. Through that experience, she created what is now Continuity Housing’s proprietary program to contractually guarantee hotel rooms without having to buy them outright.

Since then, Ms. Lowther has led Continuity Housing through hundreds of deployments internationally, most notably the Deepwater Horizon oil spill response and several Covid-19 responses to quarantine offshore oil & gas personnel.

Ms. Lowther has been awarded in the hospitality sector for her innovation. She has spoken at multiple business continuity conferences, has been featured in industry podcasts and written for Continuity Insights.

Ms. Lowther’s expertise in hotel contracting make her a sought-after resource and a popular speaker. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, 3 daughters, 2 dogs and 1 very outnumbered cat.
