Deep Learning-Based AI Model for the Early Detection of Wildfires
The annual wildfire disaster cost is in the billions of dollars, not to mention the loss of life. We propose a wildfire alert system using a deep learning-based model for the early detection of wildfires. Since July of 2020, our system has been deployed using 300 ALERT Wildfire cameras around California in the United States with the goal of detecting and alerting the authorities of early-stage wildfires.
